The Philadelphia Phillies starting rotation has taken another hit.
Just days after the Phillies placed Zach Eflin on the 15-day injured list with a right knee bruise, another starter, Ranger Suarez, is headed to the IL.
On Sunday, the Phillies placed Suarez on the 15-day IL with a low back spasm.
The Phillies did not indicate when or how Suarez was injured.

In his most recent start, last week against the Atlanta Braves, Suarez pitched 6 2/3 innings allowing four earned runs while striking out seven in a 6-5 loss.
Suarez had a solid start to the season, earning a 4-1 record, with the Phillies going 6-1 in his first seven starts.
Over his last eight starts, the Phillies are only 3-5, while Suarez is 2-4 with a 4.85 ERA.
Suarez is 6-5 on the year with a 4.33 ERA in 79 innings pitched.
